THE PHOTOSHOOT

The photoshoot will take place at a location. This location can be a forest of your choice, a garden, the city or wherever that fits the purpose of the photos. This is entirely up to you as the owner but I will suggest suitable locations if I see fit. The best thing is to share ideas and thoughts about the photoshoot and what kind of results we want to achieve with it.

A photoshoot usually takes 1-3 hours depending on the location and the animals themselves. I always shoot on the animals terms and make sure they are safe and feel comfortable with the photoshoot.

Hikes gives a lot of great opportunities for natural looking photos. The dog can walk around being a dog and we will capture the dog in it's natural behaviour. It's a plus if your dog is obedience enough to pose or take commands easily.

During photoshoots it is important that the dog gets a positive experience. We will make it fun for the dog and we will have a great time. If you do have any props you would like to bring or use during the photoshoot you are welcome to bring them. Props may be leashes, dog toys, practice aquipment, clothes or different types of pieces to make the scenery interesting. It is really up to you!

TIPS FOR YOU

For a more diverse photoshoot, my advice to you is that you practice certain commands with your dog before the day of the photoshoot. Repeat until the dog understand these commands using positive reinforcement.

Stay - A basic command that keeps your dog still at a preferred spot. Very useful for posing!

Come - Give you dog the go to come running towards you. Great for speed shots.

Sit - Keeps the dog still in a seated position. Helpful for posing at certain spots.

Wave - Teach your dog how to wave on command. Can be very cute in pictures!

Down - Keeps your dog still in a lying position at preferred spots.

Head down - Very useful for posing! It often gives the dog a very cute and pretty look.

Sit like a bear - Teach your dog to sit up with its front paws up from the ground. Very cute.

Holding things - Can be useful for props such as flowers, sticks, baskets and much more!

We can also include picture of you and your dog/dogs together in family portraits.

You'll get to see previews of the photos during the photoshoot and if you are happy with the results I will edit those pictures I feel comes out best from the photoshoot.

For questions about the photoshoot or the process please don't hesitate to contact me. I also take pictures of other pets.

Your dog can't be off leash? No problem! For an extra fee I can remove collars and leashes from the photos.
